Nannette Clapman Blinchikoff
began researching
promotional options for artists in 1983.
Promoting Art
with Integrity is her fourth book dealing with the
policies, practices, and procedures of art galleries,
arts councils, and art organizations. Her experience in
retail sales, which included many how-to-sell
seminars, ultimately led her to realize that
mainstream sales-training techniques could be used to
sell her sculpture.
Nannette developed her Five Steps of Promotion
by combining her sales training with her knowledge of
the art community. Her business-of-art books, lectures,
and workshops have been useful tools for artists since
1984.
